At COMPASSIS we continue to promote technical excellence through our training programs for leading companies and centers in industrial sectors. On this occasion, we have initiated a training cycle with MONLAU MOTUL TECHNICAL SCHOOL aimed at introducing students to the world of simulation and numerical modeling.

The first session, given by our colleague Fernando Rastellini, began with a presentation of the company and an introduction to the motivation and application of numerical methods in engineering, with special focus on the finite element method (FEM) and its role in the design and optimization of high competition equipment.

The class combined theory and practice: after reviewing basic concepts such as one-way bars, students were able to experiment with examples in Python using sopyfem software, freely modifying the input data to understand first-hand the impact on the results.

The interest was remarkable: several students came up at the end of the session to comment on their motivation to apply these techniques to real aerodynamic problems on racing motorcycles.

In the next sessions, the professor of the Department of Strength of Materials and Engineering Structures of the UPC, Daniel Di Capua, and the researcher of the UPC Juan Marcelo Giménez, deepened in the calculation of structures and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), introducing the use of our applications Tdyn y Tdyn Wind Tunnel applications, key tools for mechanical and aerodynamic analysis in highly demanding environments.

At COMPASSIS we believe in training that connects knowledge with practice, bringing numerical simulation closer to the real challenges of modern engineering and the demands of high performance industry.
