From 20 May to 23 May 2025, the V International Symposium of Aulas CIMNE takes place – a dynamic platform to strengthen collaboration between members of the Aula CIMNE and the international community of researchers in numerical methods. It offers an exceptional forum for sharing ideas and presenting cutting-edge developments in this essential field of engineering.
To accommodate participants across different time zones, the symposium is organized into two main blocks:
- 20–21 May: CIMNE Classrooms Presentations:
A showcase of the latest innovations and research emerging from the CIMNE Classrooms network. - 22–23 May: Tdyn Basic Course:
A hands-on introduction to Tdyn, an advanced numerical simulation suite based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) and other techniques. Developed by Compass Ingeniería y Sistemas S.A., Tdyn includes modules for structural, multiphysics, and marine behavior simulations, and is widely used to tackle complex engineering challenges.
All sessions will be conducted remotely via Google Meet.
A special issue of the symposium will be published in the journal ILIA – Investigaciones Latinoamericanas en Ingeniería y Arquitectura, featuring selected contributions.
This event is proudly supported by leading institutions including the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE), the Centre for Mathematical Research (CIMAT), and the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), among others.
