We are pleased to announce the signing of a 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 between CIMNE, CompassIs, and Lloid’s Register to launch a joint development project focused on the 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 SeaFEM’s 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼-𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for offshore wind design and certification.
This collaboration represents an important step towards enabling 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 for offshore wind turbine support structures, by bringing together:
- 𝗖𝗜𝗠𝗡𝗘’s scientific excellence and advanced numerical modelling expertise.
- 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗜𝗦’ engineering-driven simulation technology through 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗙𝗘𝗠.
- 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱’𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿’s recognized role in independent verification and certification.
The project will focus on the innovative 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗙𝗘𝗠’𝘀 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼-𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱-𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵, supporting robust engineering 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 while significantly reducing computational effort, contributing to 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
