This achievement is the result of the close collaboration between Lloyd\u2019s Register, CIMNE and CompassIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the <strong>first AiP granted by Lloyd\u2019s Register<\/strong> for a reduced-order structural analysis methodology accounting for hydroelastic effects, recognising that the EMMR approach is capable of performing <strong>fully coupled time-domain hydro-elastic structural analyses<\/strong> while maintaining numerical accuracy comparable to that of a full-order finite element model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"872\" height=\"554\" src=\"https:\/\/www.compassis.com\/downloads\/2026\/07\/image_3.png\" alt=\"Comparison of results between MMR and the traditional FEM method\" class=\"wp-image-5866\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Comparison of results between MMR (Modal Matrix Reduction) and the traditional FEM method<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>EMMR methodology, implemented in SeaFEM, was jointly developed by CIMNE and CompassIS in collaboration with<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/navales.etsin.upm.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ETSI Navales<\/a><\/strong> and independently reviewed by Lloyd&#8217;s Register as part of the AiP process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"852\" height=\"964\" src=\"https:\/\/www.compassis.com\/downloads\/2026\/07\/image_4-1.png\" alt=\"Modal analysis\" class=\"wp-image-5868\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Modal analysis<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We sincerely <strong>thank all the partners involved<\/strong> for their commitment, expertise and excellent collaboration.
