In this tutorial, the numerical analysis of a real offshore floating structure will be addressed. This test case may serve as a guide for the preparation of a numerical analysis concerning a real engineering case. In particular, the RAO’s analysis of the GVA 4000 semisubmersible structure is addressed, and results are compared against the literature.
