Quick start for setting up a local repository of RamDebugger source code
- Donwload and install fossil from http://www.fossil-scm.org/index.html/doc/tip/www/index.wiki
- From the command line, execute the following command:
fossil clone http://clone:clone@www.compassis.com:8079/c/ramdebugger ramdebugger.fsl
Password: clone
Note: A file ramdebugger.fsl will be created in current directory. It contains a full copy of the repository. This file can be stored anywhere
- In the directory where the sources must be checkout do:
fossil open ../.../ramdebugger.fsl
- Make changes to the source code
- To add the changes to the repository, execute:
fossil commit -m "Explanation message"
- To retrieve new changes from the base repository:
fossil update
- To execute RamDebugger, perform the following steps:
- Install ActivestateTCL. Check that it contains all necessary TCL packages
- Copy the corresponding library (.so for Linux, .dll for Windows and .dynlib for MacOSX) from the directory libs to the directory scripts
- Execute file RamDebugger.tcl
- If some TCL packages are required that are not standard packages that can be obtained from ActivestateTCL, download RamDebugger from http://www.compassis.com/ramdebugger/Download and get the packages from there
