    Rethinking Container Management Systems project (RCMS) ended

    Compass has succesfully ended its participation in the RCMS Project (RCMS web ), co-funded by the European Commission.

    RCMS is a robotic parking system, able to efficiently manage and handle more containers per square-metre than traditional handling systems used in port terminals. With its innovative proposal for the structural solution for the building civil works -based on composite materials- Compass has generated a certain interest in the introduction of fiber plastic (FRP) structures among large civil engineering projects.

    COMPASS in MOVASE Project (RETOS)

    Compass IS, together with the research centre CIMNE and the makers of glass containers Vidrala, have launched a new research project with the aim of developing new tools and methods that will allow the optimisation of glassware creation and production. This project, named MOVASE, has been financed by the program "Retos-Colaboración" (Collaborative Challenges ) by the "Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad" (The Ministry of Finance ).

    Fortissimo Project

    The HPC-Cloud-based experiments Enabling fatigue life assessment in HPC-cloud to SMEs (FLASH) and HPC-enabled system for enhanced seeakeeping and station-keeping design (HPC-SHEAKS) have successfully came to the end. Those projects, in which Compass IS has had a relevant participation, have been developed in the frame of the Fortissimo Project, funded by the European Commission under the H2020 Framework Programme.
